Passing of Deacon Thomas Melvin

Posted on Mon, Jan 22, 2007

It is with tears of sorrow, I write this message.  On Monday January 22, 2007 Deacon Thomas Melvin was called home to be with the Lord.  He was in a fatal trucking accident at about 10:45 am.

There are still many details that have not been released.  Homegoing services have not been scheduled but will be posted on this website as soon as they are announced.

Deacon Francis S. Cole, Ph.D.

Missing Thomas
I did not know Deacon Thomas Melvin that long but he has left a whole in my heart. He was the sweetest, kindest man I have met in a long time. When he spoke you knew he meant what he said. Thomas you will be missed. I wish we would have had more time to talk and get to know each other. God now has you but you will be remembered by everyone whose lives you have touched.

Missing Thomas
I did not know Deacon Thomas Melvin that long. But after speaking with him a couple of times, it did not take me long to realize that he was a very sweet, caring, kind person. He was a very sincere person. I wish that there was more time to get to know him better. You are in Gods hands now, may he take good care of you.
