Lenten Services

Lent begins early.  The area churches are planning a Lenten Series beginning Ash Wednesday.  The First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge will host an Ecumenical Ash Wednesday Service at 7:00 p.m., February 6, 2008.  So far the area churches participating are St. James Roman Catholic Church, St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, First Baptist Church of Woodbridge in Sewaren, First United Methodist Church of Woodbridge, First Congregational Church of Woodbridge, Trinity Episcopal Church of Woodbridge, First Presbyterian Church of Carteret and Ford's Presbyterian Church.

 The theme for the series is "Spiritual needs in America today."  Rev. Bob Boyar will preach on Ash Wednesday on "The need for practical help in developing a mature faith."

Thursday, February 14^th at 12:15 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 600 Rahway Avenue

 

Thursday, February 21^st at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 650 Rahway Avenue

 

Thursday, February 28^th at 7:00 p.m. at Congregation Church, Grove and Barron Avenues

 

Thursday, March 6^th at 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 130 Sewaren Ave., Sewaren

 

Thursday, March 13^th at 7:00 p.m. First United Methodist Church, Main Street, Woodbridge
